Good Intentions is a project that holds a particularly meaningful place in my practice. Following the events of October 7, Shenkar initiated a collaborative course with the injured soldiers’ rehabilitation unit at Sheba Medical Center, exploring how fashion design could respond to a body and everyday life altered by injury.
The Concept
Each designer was paired with a soldier undergoing rehabilitation. Through a series of meetings, conversations, fittings, and research, we learned about their individual physical needs, personal style, interests, and the ways their relationship with clothing had changed. The aim was not simply to create an adaptive garment, but to design something personal- clothing that responded to new needs while still allowing the person wearing it to feel like themselves.

I worked closely with Lior, drawing inspiration from his personality and interests, including Formula 1 and his love of film and television. These references were translated into the proportions, details, materials, and visual language of the garments, while construction decisions were developed around his changing physical needs.

The project became an exploration of empathy, adaptability, and human-centered design. It taught me to approach clothing not only through aesthetics, but through listening- to understand the person before designing the garment, and to recognize how fashion can support individuality, confidence, and everyday life during a period of profound change.
